If you knew us as The Sparkle Bar, you are in the right place. We have a new name, a new website and a much larger collection, but SB Studio is still the same independent, family-owned Edmonton jewellery studio.
The people behind it have not changed. Neither has the care we put into the pieces we make, the permanent jewellery appointments we share with you or the relationships we have built over the years.
What has changed is the name—and the room it has given us to grow.
Why did The Sparkle Bar change its name?
This was not a change we originally planned to make. A much larger company held a trademark for the name “Sparkle Bar” and required us to stop using it.
Losing a name attached to years of work was difficult. The Sparkle Bar began as a permanent jewellery business and grew through thousands of appointments, events and conversations with customers who trusted us with pieces marking birthdays, friendships, weddings, new babies and ordinary days that became important later.
That history still belongs to us, even if the name no longer does.
Rather than treating the change as a simple replacement, we chose a name that keeps a connection to where we started while making space for everything the business has become.
Why SB Studio?
The initials SB retain a link to The Sparkle Bar and the community that helped us build it. Studio better reflects what we do now: permanent jewellery, fine jewellery, wedding and engagement rings, engraving, custom work and pieces that can be designed by the person who will wear them.
SB Studio feels broader because the business is broader. It gives us a name that can grow with us without leaving our beginning behind.
The same family-owned Edmonton studio
Although our branding has changed, our ownership has not. SB Studio remains an independent, family-owned jewellery studio in Edmonton.
You will still find the same team in the studio. We still offer custom-fitted permanent bracelets, anklets and necklaces in solid 14k gold and sterling silver. We will continue bringing permanent jewellery to private events, weddings, celebrations and community gatherings throughout Edmonton and beyond.
If you purchased a permanent jewellery piece from us under our former name, it is still one of our pieces. Our complimentary repair and reweld policy remains in place for permanent jewellery purchased from us.
Wedding and engagement rings
SB Studio now offers engagement rings and wedding bands, including custom options for couples who want more control over the stone, setting, metal and details of their rings.
Choosing wedding jewellery can involve far more than selecting something from a display. We can help you compare diamond and gemstone options, understand different settings, choose a band profile and create rings that work together comfortably.
Whether you already know exactly what you want or only know what you do not want, we can help you work through the choices without rushing the process.

Custom jewellery
Our expanded custom jewellery service gives us room to create pieces that do not already exist in our collection.
You may come to us with a detailed design, a loose idea, a particular gemstone or a need that you have not been able to find elsewhere. We can help turn that starting point into a finished piece, working through the proportions, materials and details with you.
Custom jewellery is available for everyday pieces, gifts, milestones, wedding jewellery and designs made around a stone or idea that already holds significance.
Custom engraving
We have also expanded our in-studio engraving services. Names, initials and dates can be added to selected charms, lockets, pendants, bracelets and rings. We can also work with handwriting, fingerprints and other artwork on suitable pieces.
Engraving can be quiet and private or visible by design. It may be a date only you recognize, a handwritten word, a fingerprint or a name you want to keep close.
Our engravable jewellery is available in solid gold and sterling silver, with options suited to names, dates, handwriting, fingerprints and other personal details.
A new website and online charm bar
Our new website brings permanent jewellery, fine jewellery, wedding and engagement, engraving and custom services together in one place.
It also includes a new online charm bar, allowing you to choose a chain and combine up to seven charms to create your own necklace. Select initials, symbols, gemstones and small objects that mean something to you, then arrange them into a combination chosen by you.
You can start with one charm and add more over time, or create a finished combination as a gift. The charm bar makes the design process available online while keeping the choice and personalization of an in-studio appointment.

The Sparkle Bar will always be part of our history. It is the name many of you first knew, the name attached to our earliest appointments and the name under which this family business grew.
SB Studio is what comes next.
We are still here in Edmonton, still family-owned and still grateful for every person who chooses us to make, weld, engrave or help design something they will wear. Now we can offer more of those pieces under one roof.
