Refunds & Exchanges
At SB Studio, many of our pieces are custom made, personalized, engraved or individually fitted. As a result, all sales are considered final unless otherwise stated below.
We encourage clients to carefully review product descriptions, specifications and order details before making a purchase.
Custom Orders, Personalized Jewelry and Special Orders
All custom orders, personalized jewelry and special-order items are final sale.
This includes, but is not limited to:
A custom order begins once a design has been approved, a deposit has been received, materials have been ordered or production has commenced.
Because custom pieces are created specifically for an individual client and often involve materials sourced expressly for that project, custom orders cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded once a deposit has been received, materials have been ordered or production has commenced.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all specifications, measurements, gemstone selections, metal selections, spelling, initials, dates and personalization details prior to production.
Deposits and Custom Design Fees
A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required before production begins on most custom orders, special orders, engagement rings, heirloom redesign projects and custom fine jewelry.
Deposits secure production time, initiate design work and allow materials, gemstones and components to be sourced specifically for a client’s project.
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, all deposits are non-refundable.
Once design work has commenced, materials have been ordered, gemstones have been sourced or production has begun, any deposit paid becomes non-refundable.
Deposits and payments made toward custom orders may be applied to consultations, design services, CAD development, gemstone sourcing, supplier orders, labour and materials purchased on behalf of the client.
The remaining balance is due prior to delivery, shipment or pickup unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Permanent jewelry is custom fitted and welded specifically for each client and is therefore final sale.
While we use high-quality materials and professional welding techniques, permanent jewelry is not indestructible. Everyday wear, accidental snagging, impact, exercise, children, pets, clothing and lifestyle activities may result in stretching, damage or breakage.
Complimentary re-welding is offered for original SB Studio permanent jewelry purchased directly from us.
Clients are responsible for retaining their chain if a repair is required.
Engagement Rings & Bespoke Jewelry
Engagement rings, wedding bands and bespoke jewelry are created specifically for each client and are therefore final sale.
A custom engagement ring or bespoke piece often involves design consultations, sourcing of diamonds or gemstones, custom renderings, specialized labour and materials purchased specifically for an individual project.
For this reason, engagement rings, wedding bands and bespoke jewelry cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded once a deposit has been received, materials have been ordered or production has commenced.
Repairs and Work on Existing Jewelry
Jewelry that has been previously worn, repaired, resized or manufactured by another jeweler may contain hidden wear, damage or structural weaknesses that are not visible during inspection.
While every reasonable precaution is taken, SB Studio cannot guarantee against breakage, gemstone loss or unforeseen complications that may occur during repair, resizing, restoration or redesign work.
Pricing, Quotations and Availability
Due to fluctuations in precious metal markets, gemstone pricing, supplier costs, currency exchange rates and availability, all prices are subject to change without notice.
Quotations for custom jewelry, engagement rings, redesign projects and special orders are valid for seven (7) days unless otherwise stated in writing.
SB Studio reserves the right to correct pricing errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time.
Gift cards are final sale and cannot be redeemed for cash.
SB Studio reserves the right to refuse, cancel, hold or verify any order suspected of fraud, unauthorized activity or misuse of payment methods.
