A bracelet should have enough room to move without sliding too far down your hand. This guide will help you measure your wrist, compare SB Studio bracelet lengths and choose the fit that feels right for you.
Bracelet Size Chart
Use this chart as a starting point for chain bracelets. If your measurement falls between sizes or you prefer more movement, choose the larger size.
| Wrist measurement | Wrist measurement | Suggested bracelet length |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 5.5" | Up to 14cm | 6" |
| 5.5–6" | 14–15.25cm | 6.5" |
| 6–6.5" | 15.25–16.5cm | 7" |
| 6.5–7" | 16.5–17.75cm | 7.5" |
If your wrist falls directly on the boundary between two ranges, use your preferred fit to decide. Choose the smaller option for a closer fit or the larger option for more movement.
What You Will Need
-
A soft measuring tape
-
Or a piece of non-stretch string and a ruler
Step 1: Measure Your Wrist
Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist just above the wrist bone, where you normally wear a bracelet. Keep the tape flat against your skin without pulling it tight.
Turning your palm upward can make the wrist easier to measure.
If you are using string, wrap it around your wrist and mark the point where the ends meet. Do not tie the string in a knot. Lay it flat against a ruler to find your measurement.
Step 2: Record the Measurement
The number you have measured is your wrist circumference, not your finished bracelet size. A bracelet needs extra room so it can fasten comfortably and move with your wrist.
Step 3: Choose Your Fit
Add the following amount to your wrist measurement:
| Preferred fit | Add to your wrist measurement |
|---|---|
| Snug fit | ½" or 1.3cm |
| Comfortable everyday fit | ¾" or 2cm |
| Relaxed fit | 1" or 2.5cm |
For example, if your wrist measures 6", choose a 6.5" bracelet for a closer fit or a 7" bracelet if you prefer more movement.
Before Choosing Your Size
Consider the Bracelet Style
This guide works best for chain bracelets. Bangles and cuffs fit differently and may require a hand measurement, inside diameter or separate size chart. Always check the information listed on the individual product page.
Allow Room for Charms
Charms take up space along the inside of a bracelet. If you plan to add several charms, consider choosing the next size up.
Measure at a Normal Temperature
Wrists can expand slightly in warm weather and become smaller in colder temperatures. Measuring indoors at a comfortable temperature will give you a more reliable result.
Think About How You Wear Your Bracelets
Some people prefer a bracelet that stays close to the wrist, while others want it to move more freely. If you regularly stack several bracelets, consider how much movement you want between each piece.
Between Two Sizes?
Choose the larger size if you are uncertain, especially for charm bracelets or if you prefer a looser fit.
